CIEH Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice
Aim of the workshop
The purpose of this training course is to provide those attending with essential knowledge and skills to carry out health and safety risk assessments. On completion of this course and submission of a work-based assignment those attending will be awarded the Risk Assessment Principles and Practice Certificate from The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Workshop objectives
By the end of this workshop those attending will have a better understanding of how to:
Conduct risk assessments (with the necessary technical knowledge in relation to the activities/environments/issues)
Organise and implement a risk assessment programme
Participate in the identification of specific training needs for the activities being assessed
Assist employers in meeting legal requirements and promote improved standards of health and safety within their organisation.

Background to health and safety at work
The reasons for needing risk assessments
The difference between hazard, risk and control measures
The legislation and how it relates to risk assessmentsThe stages involved in carrying out a risk assessment
Workshop attendees
This workshop will be especially beneficial to managers, supervisors and team leaders.
Pre-requisites
Before attending this workshop learners need to have achieved the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety Risk Assessment Principles and Practice
Workshop Assessment
The assessment for this qualification is through a work based assignment and also self evaluation
Workshop duration and cost
This is 1 day duration and costs £75.00 plus VAT per person this includes course workbook, certification with CIEH, and refreshments.
