 Window manufacturers and installers from Everglade have given their professional skills an edge through achieving NVQ qualifications. A total of 27 members of staff were awarded certificates in Fenestration Installation and Production of Glass Supporting Fabrication. The craftsmen, based at Everglade’s headquarters in Perivale, North West London trained on the job and through Uxbridge College and Total Support. Yogesh Gopal, Trade Manager at Everglade, said: “Having qualified staff creates so many advantages both for our business as a whole and our people as individuals...Our customers, manufacturers and installers can all feel confident about the work we do because it is assessed by national standards. Training to NVQ level gives us an advantage when we want to tender for commercial jobs because it shows we have the best skills...Providing a formal training programme for our staff shows we are taking our corporate responsibilities seriously - and our staff value the fact we look after them. It also gives us the edge when we’re competing to recruit and retain good people...Some of the guys at Everglade who achieved their NVQs recently never got any qualifications at school and never expected to – but they’re thrilled to have the recognition for the skills they have." Hello all, As you may have heard, the old NVQs by NQF are slowly being replaced by new specification from QCF. This means we have had to make a few changes to what we provide. We now only run the new QCF NVQs, which has also meant that we can run a wider selection of courses, for more information see the training section. Sharon What a year! 30/07/2010
Hello all, We had a very hectic year here at Total Support Training, we have almost managed to complete over 260 candidates this academic year! I am astonished at this figure and it couldn't have been done without the great team we have here. We hope all the candidates for this year feel they have benefited from this, we thank them for taking part and their certificates will shortly be given out.
